As a writer, my work revolves around the intertwining of trauma, horror, and comedy. I work in short-form, long-form, scripts, poetry, and interactive fiction. The medium of a story shapes it. How does an interactive, predetermined script help viewers experience a loss of choice and control? How can long-standing tropes of horror and comedy find room for stories about queerness, transness, disability, and womanhood? My work draws from creatives like Mike Flanagan; Andrew Joseph White; Brian David Gilbert; the McElroy Brothers; and Jon Bois. Above all, I write for the weird kids — the ones who need to know they can grow teeth, wake up covered in viscera, and still find joy and peace.
